One day i went into the forest like any other day. I went to climb up a tree but my attention went to a rock with a rusty key and looked old with patterns with rust fulling in the patterns. I picked up the key and tried to fighter out how it got there.
I took it back to my house and carved out the rust from the keys patterns. The next day I went back into the forest to find where they key had come from. I went back to the rock were I found the key I saw that there was a arrow pointing north. I followed were the arrow had pointed and there was a faint path in the ground. I almost missed it, but there was another arrow this time it was pointing west so i followed it again. I made it to a cave with a old wooden door i used the key to try open it and it worked I walked into the cave it was surprising light in the cave like a invisible light was leading the way. There was a staircase leading down under ground i hesitated to go down, but i gave in and walked down the stairs. At the bottom was a giant lake with beautiful l fish swimming in it. I thought i saw something in the water that didn’t look like a fish it had a human like body but with a fish’s tall suddenly i new what it was. I was in shock i saw it again a mermaid. I stepped back from the underground lake but the mermaid had already saw me holding the key in my hand. I ran to the staircase and stood there as the mermaid rose from the water. her hair was a soft lavender and her tall was a deep lavender. She swam to the edge of the lake and pulled herself out of the water. “Whos there” the mermaid called out to me I stood in shock.The mermaid crawled to me asking who i was till she got to the staircase and couldn’t get up the stairs. She grabbed my leg and pulled me down into the water and down to the bottom of the lake.
